Anyone in the community can sign up for the Alexander Technique class at the University of Minnesota School of Music. Several class sections are offered each year (Fall, Spring, Summer). The class is MUS 5150: Alexander Technique for Musicians, but non-musicians are also welcome. This is an introductory class for people new to the Alexander Technique, but experienced students will also enjoy learning Alexander principles in a group setting. The class features stellar textbooks, stimulating discussion, individual hands-on guidance, illustrative videos, and unique self-help exercises. Approximately 27 hours of class. The SUMMER TERM class meets weekdays, early afternoons for three weeks. Fall and Spring classes meet one day per week for 2 hours.
