Enjoy a Lesson !

Private lessons are the best way to learn the Alexander Technique and you are invited to take a lesson from me. People who embark upon lessons in the Alexander Technique usually find them to be an enjoyable experience. The experience is called a "lesson" because it is an educational process, not a passive therapy. Group lessons are also a possibility.
Come learn how mis-use (not overuse) is related to most chronic musculoskeletal problems and obstacles to many activities. Over the course of lessons, your back is strengthened and you begin to "use" yourself in a more efficient manner.
An Alexander lesson involves the use of the teacher's hands guiding you in simple movements, such as getting in and out of a chair. Part of the lesson usually takes place lying on a table. The kinesthetic experience of lengthening and widening (essential for "good use") will be different from anything that you have experienced. As such, it is difficult to describe verbally. The best way to introduce yourself to the Alexander Technique and how I teach it is to schedule a lesson!
Lessons are about 35 minutes in duration (info on rates). The number of lessons varies according to the individual’s needs. (info for Musicians here - new window). Call (612) 267-5154 or EMAIL . Perform with greater skill and poise using the Alexander Technique

It’s an educational method — not therapy. A lesson on the table feels great...
And, you learn how to better relax and organize your efforts on your own!
