Enjoy a Lesson !

Private lessons are the best way to learn the Alexander Technique and you are invited to take a lesson from me.  People who embark upon lessons in the Alexander Technique usually find them to be an enjoyable experience.  The Alexander experience is called a "lesson" because it is an educational process, not a passive therapy.

Misuse-not overuse-causes most chronic ailments and performance problems.  Over the course of lessons, your back is strengthened and you begin to "use" yourself in a more efficient manner. The goal of lessons is not to cure you of a specific difficulty, but to teach you a set of skills that aid all your activities.

An Alexander lesson involves the use of the teacher's hands guiding you in simple movements, such as getting in and out of a chair.  Part of the lesson usually takes place lying on a table. The initial kinesthetic experience of lengthening and widening (essential for "good use") will be different from anything that you have experienced.  As such, it is difficult to describe verbally.  The best way to introduce yourself to the Alexander Technique is to schedule a lesson!   Call Brian at (612) 267-5154

Rates range from $35-$45 per lesson and last about 40 minutes.  The number of lessons varies according to the individual and their needs.
